Subject: losing v4 expressions

november22 ( ) posted Mon, 22 October 2007 at 10:43 AM · edited Wed, 04 February 2026 at 12:25 AM

Losing V4 expressions set in Poser 6 after opening the poser scene file in carrara 6.2.  The expression adjustments in carrara also have no affect on expression - still that vague stupid stare.

As I've only used carrara for a week or so I'm taking it slowly so still using Poser to stage figures - is that the problem? Is it V4.1 per se?

Would something like "V4XprssnMagic for the PCV4XprssnMagic for the PC" work from Carrara?  Questions, questions.

Thanks for any help!

Hi Nov22, What? You don't like vacant stares? Sometimes the expressions (or any dial controlled morphs) have import issues. They become marginalized or reduced. You can remedy this by entering a value/number in the dial settings box in the Property Pallet in C6. usually an increase by a factor of 10 or 100 does the job. To prevent that goofiness altogether, you can simply do everything from within C6 now. I still use Poser when I need dynamic cloth or talk (since I don't have mimic) and walk designer when I need those feature sets. But otherwise. I do everything in Carrara anymore.

Thanks Mark - I'll try that on my last project.  And also start working just in Carrara for the runtime stuff.
