Hi Richard, In the 3D view, select the two objects, go to the editor pull-down menu>3D Boolean>select the option and fidelity you want>click ok. To move the opening around, you will need to go into the Modeling room and lasso or marquee select the vertexes and polys you want to move and do it that way. Unfortunatly, the Assembly room doen't serve both modeler and assembly functions.

Is there an easier way to create Boolean objects in Carrara 5 within the 3D view (without resorting to the object editor)? I have a large cube (shaped like a wall), and I want to boolean subtract another on from it to make a window.
Can I select 2 or more objects in the 3D view, and then transport them together into the object editor screens and use them to construct a Boolean object?
I can only create "destructive" Boolean objects i.e. I can't go back and move the 2 cubes around and alter the shape once I've carried out the Boolean operation.
Thanks
Richard
