If wanting to construct buildings or similiar would a cad program or architools be advised? Can you use existing new tools and if so are there any tutorials on this anywhere? I am sure w/ the new tools and say cubes there must be some tips out there.I would really also like to see some more ai to modeling methods. Jack Whitney had one for amapi, but it was a bit too brief for me. Also, I haven't seen the new work on surface directly feature in action...anybody got some work? Didn't Ringo say Jan was the dvd?

All I know is Architools is easy to use and I've seen some nice work come out of it. The only thing I regret is that there are not too many free or cheap textures for the roofs and walls. And I've had trouble with adding windows to a vaulted wall... had to convert model to vertex and cut one out. The window and door placement is easy. I'm waiting for the C5 release of Architools. R

I think for now I will stick w/ the spline or maybe vertex modeler for now. Unfortunately, all the add ons start to really add up.
