You won't find this level of control in the deformers of Carrara. What I'd do is create the text path in Illustrator or Freehand (illustrator has a spiral function- I don't know about Freehand), put the text on it, outline and import into the spline modeler in Carrara. This would be an interesting formula deformer though. That is one feature that I've spent almost no time with. I'll have to play around with the formula now... ;) Mark

Hi everybody, I have a need to take a very long string of text, and curve it, so that it matches the "Golden Curve" shown on this page. http:// en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio (scroll down a bit) It not only needs to curve, but needs to scale from large at the beginning, to almost invisible at the end. Looking at the image in the image I've attached, the text must be readable from that point of view. (say, the "top", looking down on this from above. It seems to me that there is probably a formula deformer to do this, but I don't know the math well enough at this time to figure it out myself. Can anyone here help? I'm facing a deadline, so sooner is better. Thanks! (artwork is Copyright 2005 By Sheila Wyne)
