Subject: Poser 5 Texture problem

Hi there, was wondering if someone here knows the answer to my question. I import a Poser 5 model into Carrara Studio 3.0.4. in 'object' format.(I don't use or own Transposer yet) Everything seems to go well, as in the textures look great and all. Then I bone the figure for animation as usual. But I find when I do the final render of each frame for animation, parts of the texture appears to tear or rip. Kind of looks like the figure has cracks in it. Just wondering what I might need to do to stop this. Thanks for any help offered.

Carrara bones can have too much of an influence on the .obj mesh. Your mesh is probably "tearing" when it bends. This can be fixed by adjusting the influence of the bones on the mesh in the vertex modeling room. A more complete description can be found on page 530 in the Carrara 3 manual. Hope this helps!
