Hello... As seen in my earlier post I'm quite new (THis is my first day) with Carrara. This is my first animation. Before reading my comments/problems I would like to you view my animation. It is 1.29 mb and in Divx/AVI format at 640x480.

It can be viewed here.

DOWN DOWN DOWN you go as I would really like you to view it before reading on.

Ok, enough waiting... I found that the modeler was hard... namly I'm still having the same problem as in my previous post with filling in the sword. I know my timings are bad but I did this with my gf nagging me to come watch a movie and a million other things going on.

Problem #1: I couldn't get the camera to sit exactly where I wanted it to. I would place it at the begining of the sequence and it would auto adjust with the movements and everything but when I went to go render it was in a different spot and not really moving. This is my primary concern since I belive camera angles are very important.

Problem #2: Timing with the explosion method. I turn everything down until the keyframes where I wanted it to start exploding. I don't know of theres a way to make it not go into effect until a keyframe instead of just turning everything down.

Problem #3 I got the scene setup but I'm not quite sure how to texture the ground itself... I'd like a solid surface for the ball pieces to just fall into a pile on.

Thats about it please post your comments but keep in mind I've been at this less than 24 hours.

:)

Re: 3, just add an infinite plane and drag one of the geologic textures onto it. Maybe a nice sandstone or mud or cracked lava to start.
