Subject: How To Speed Up Carrara Simple Renders

Hello all i have Carrara 3 and i'm making a movie. I imported a simple city block from the Presets included with Carrara, and my first task was to make the camera move slowly, zooming into the buildings. that little movie sequence of zooming in takes like 10 seconds to render per frame, yet i have say 900 frames. It's too much wait. Is there a way to speed up the process. i used to have Ray dream studio 5 and did similar stuff where i rendered simple movements but that seemed faster than this. if anyone has tips,.......

Its hard to tell what it could be from here without knowing what settings you are using in rendering.

Thanks for answering but i kind of figured out what to do. I had "Antialiasing Fast" on, so i turned it off and now it' better. sure antialiasing seems nice but it's just too slow for me.

10 seconds per frame sounds o.k. to me. You could get a nice-looking 320X240 frame in that time with ordinary ray-tracing (no GI). Break it up into 9 clips, 100 frames each, if you can't let the computer run for 2.5 hours straight.
