Subject: newbie question regarding carrara animation

I'm trying to work my way through the "little planet tutorial" on eovia's site,
http://www.carrarastudio.com/tutorials/littleplanet/part3/
but I've hit a snag. I can move and rotate my car without trouble as long as I'm at time 0:00, but once i'm setting animation keyframes at any point afterwards I can't seem to use the rotation control. I can select the tool, the object, and rotate the object to the desired position, but when i release it, the object snaps back to its original point.

I've even tried setting the coordinates by hand in the yaw control of the motion/transform properties control panel. This puts the object at the point I want, but when I watch the animation from the beginning its as if the yaw coordinate entry was ignored.

What could be controlling the object in this fashion?

Thanks
Brendan

sounds like you might have some additional keyframes I'd take a look at your timeline and make sure you don't have duplicates and more keyframes then you need.
