VCR Tools Update: Private Promotional Images

Comments

as it says that products MAY be extruded from the background, would it be better to just upload transparent images for the extra 'private images' then normal full renders?
Yes, Loki. Transparent images would be an appropriate usage of the extra Private Images.
Will we be able to modify/replace or add new images to existing products?
Yes, this new functionality is good. However, it makes me wonder if I should really dedicate extra time to this (instead of focusing on producing something new). I say this because by not knowing if and how much it will be used, the seller may be working for literally nothing. Even more so for those of us who are not "top sellers". For example, in previous months I spent time preparing a cool ad banner, only to see it disappear in 1 day, while other "top sellers" have silly banners (yes, I'm sorry: some are collages, cutouts or simple texts) that run the whole month. I don't see why doing it again, waste of time. What would I think would be cool? Ah, it would be cool for me to see you using products (from ALL of us) in cross-promotion. Someone on your marketing team (hello new guys?) with access to the products, creates scenes and renderings that combine the various products from different sellers in an original way (after all, don't you also have artists on your team?). You have Poser + Daz + a ton of items to use at your disposal. Make the 50% you receive from us count! This new tool only facilitates and reinforces what is already done: beautiful images but focused on just 1 product. No matter how much you mix ("composition") several, they will always be that: a mosaic of separate images from different renderings/scenes.
RAGraphicDesign You will actually be able to modify existing products without any support requests or product update requests. Simply go to edit an existing product and the field should be editable for you!
To evargas The Private promotional images are optional. However, these images are there to give you control over your product’s promotional imagery.
Questions, questions. Okay, so what you want is quality renderings/images, preferably with a transparent background (transparent .png would be best I suppose), to be used in various promotional composites on the site or on social media, correct? SO, if that's the case, chances are someone is going to take these images and in many cases they'll be resizing, rotating, or otherwise editing the images that we provide? Will we have the opportunity to see these composites before the public does in order to approve them? I'm not trying to be fussy here, but I have seen some banners and images here on the site that make me cringe a little. I just want to be assured that whoever puts these images together has the experience to do so, so that my products are represented the best way possible. Maybe a few examples of what you all have in mind would be a good thing. Also, you mention the images can be 800x800 up to 1600x1600. So they should all be a ratio of 1-to-1 or can they be say, 1000 x 1600? Thanks!!
Thanks ebasham, ashleyb. The tool itself I found it really cool, it will surely make things easier and save some time.
In the last few days I have prepared promotional images of the new products. I tried to prepare some with the 1:1 ratio ( but with a background) I used them with my texts. Then I inserted them without text in the "private images" area. Not like png.
