"The Brain Eating Cyclops".  Inspired by the "vast wasteland" of television (credit Newton Minnow, ~1961), which seems to be getting vaster.  Also by "the Rime Of The Ancient Mariner" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, of which it is a parody.  Word Count: 285
