"WANTED!" The wedding was wonderful. So magical. Sarah sighed as she read the morning paper. She had met the man of her dreams and married him. She was happier than she had been in a long time. He swept her away with his knowledge of the world and his fancy talk of taking her to see it when she was better. He didn't seem to mind her being sick and had said his vows with a loving heart. Today was one of her BETTER days. She felt wide awake and ready to be his wife. He wasn't like most of the men she had met. All her money, and the trust fund that matured when she was wed, didn't seem to bother him. They would have a great life. With her money and his knowledge they would see what the world had to offer. If only she could shake this sickness. Then she would be well enough to travel. Today she felt fine. The mornings were her best time. The evenings seemed to be the worst. She had not seen a doctor... Gerard had convinced her that she would get better on her own and that it was probably just pre-wedding jitters. He promised if she wasn't better after the wedding was over, that he would personally take her to see a doctor. He was probably right. She DID feel better today. Sarah sipped her coffee. The queeziness was starting again. Maybe she had best lay off of the coffee for a while. Gerard came over and kissed her on the cheek and poured her another cup of coffee. She smiled at him and automatically sipped the coffee...trustingly. She loved him so. She took another sip of the coffee as she turned the newspaper over and noticed the WANTED poster on the front page. Her eyes widened as she lost consciousness and fell to the floor... dead! ------------------------------------- That was close. Gerard had given his new wife the last of the poison just in time. If she had read the newspaper any further she would have noticed his grin on the front page. Pretty good likeness too. Yes he had changed his hair color and grown a moustache, but he knew she would have recognized him. Sarah was his 10th wife to fall victim to his charms. Her trust fund would provide a nice nest egg for him in Europe. ------------------------------------- The newspaper headlines read the next day... NEWLYWED HEIRESS FOUND DEAD... Her husband is no where to be found! 420 words :) Inspired by my husband and I after having a brainstorming session :)
