For Thee In Deathly Obscurity This image was made by taking various renders and combining them in Gimp. Each element was create specifically for this piece. Image time took approximately 2 days to complete. Inspiration came uniquely from music from "Hecate Enthroned". The whole duration of this piece was comprised of music from "Upon Promethean Shores (Unscriptured Waters)", "Slaughter Of Innocence (Requiems For The Mighty)", and "Dark Requiems". The music set more of the scenery than any of the lyrics. A mixture of beauty and darkness with the emotions of despair and loss. This became the perfect mood stabalizer to create this image. Being in this element captured the theme for me, utilizing this emotion and coming forth with another powerful imagery of unhappily ever after. I ask you to read the story and place yourself in the eyes of character. Feel everything... Let these emotions run cold in the veins as you stare into the abyss before you. Just don't do anything crazy...The point of this is to give you a better understanding of what drove in the unhappiness, and why the scene is what it is... Just bare with me and play along... (This work is purely fictional) Story: Two winters have passed since that day. I still remember the final sunrise we shared. The final embrace, the last words still echo in my mind. I will see you at dusk, in the forest beyond the shadows. In our sacred space forlorn. Damn those words that haunt me. Damn the forest that mocks me every moment the sun passes away. Damn you for leaving me behind... The past season has bared more memories than when you first were gone. More and more people leave, and the more run down the place has become. My beauty has left me. My life only held together by the fabric of these memories. What was once simple is now complex. Everyone doesn't understand why i don't just forget you exsisted. They don't know the love we share. They think I am crazy for speaking to you, and you are not there, but you are. I think they only wish me to leave as the others did, so they can lay claim to the estate father left to me, to us. Well, no matter now. The estate lays in flames. I set the fire myself, but you probably have seen that. You are wherever I am. I have cursed the land... May nothing ever grow where my sadness lingered. May no one walk where we walked together in life. This my pact I made with blood, and nature's blessing. I am left with only this rope, your dagger, and all the pain I have endured since you extinguished your eternal flame. I can't bare to take myself as you did. I only hope that you do not cast me out as you did in life, in death, my love for soon I will be joining you... The letter falls to the ground as tears fall from the eyes of a tormented woman. Trapped in her own hell with only the words of the dead to sooth her soul... She climbs the dead oak tree, a last glimpse into the world of pain. A brief moment of clarity. A brief reprise as she places the rope around her neck. Blurry eyed, and alone she falls. Not a struggle as her vision goes black, and night sounds of the cold forest dim. You may think the story ends here. But it doesn't. The pact she made came with price. But one you may be surprised to hear. It wasn't nature, nor dark entity coming to claim her words. But the emptiness inside her which made her linger in between spaces. Here she dwells the forest still alone, haunting the woods beneath a December twilight...
