I ended up using "Wisdom of the ages" as the basis of my idea after working up other plans that tried to incorporate all topics in one concept. Those ideas just became too busy and overworked so I needed a different approach that still covered what the book is about. Seeing that the topics include everything from ancient mysteries to aliens I decided on this. Here I tried to represent the 3 states of time... past, preset, and future. The stone steps in the foreground are the past, which connect us to the present and future. In the middle ground is a cityscape that could be seen as a city in our modern age, and in the background I painted in futuristic looking buildings to represent future. A silhouette of Thoth stands at the gate of enlightenment, which exists between all time, observing and recording the wisdom of the ages. There are some very unique and impressive entries here.
