Their ferocity, cunning and utter lack of decency confused and frightened the Races of the Light. Even the many of the Races of the Dark refused to stand against the Ogre for fear the hoarde would next fall upon them. The scourge of the Ogres brought many of Mernac?s other races to the brink of extinction. No one could stand against them. In the end, it was the Ogres themselves that brought about the demise of the hoarde. As Gorb was expelled from the heavens he took with him the soul of his favorite son: Shadowmane bearer of the Black Axe and chief of the hoarde. Most of the Races of the Light will band together and destroy and group of Ogre known to be more than 100 members strong and the world of Mernac huddles in perpetual fear that someday the Black Axe will be raised above the world of Mernac. Above all else the Ogre race as a whole prizes the fear that they instill in the other races. It is the one thing that the Ogre can truly lay claim to as the greatest of all the races and that reputation will not likely be tarnished unto the end of the ages. Here we see Gorgrath the Ogre, wielding his mighty axe. The axe was fashioned to resemble the Black Axe and act as a rallying point to his comrades. The uprising was however quickly put down by an allience of men and dwarfs. http://www.mernac.com/modules/mernac/story.php?id=693&aid=1054 Thanks for viewing and good luck to all!
