When this race was being created Werk, the patron Father of the Sectis, so loved the insects and spiders of Mernac that he decreed this race should be created in their image. One of the most famous of the Sectis race is Ortis Gooze, said to be the founder of the Sivor Class, the class that is trained in creating spells that can sap the energy of their opponents. First used during the battle of Elber, Ortis used the now well-known spell of leech energy against King Lev's human forces arrayed against his army. This spell, at first only used against the king, sucked the energy from Lev and siphoned it into Ortis, making him stronger.
