In the forest at the edge of the city of Praygus in the kingdom of Elber lives the white dragon Frostkiss. Getting on in seasons, Frostkiss figured there must be an easier way to win riches than raiding travelling parties through the forest and carrying off fair princesses for ransom. So he used the wealth he had thus gathered and became a moneylender in Praygus. One of his first customers was (you choose name), Duke of Praygus and cousin to the king of Elber, who was building a new hall as his was ironically burned down by a fire dragon. Out of spite and revenge on dragons, the Duke refused to re-pay Frostkiss on the charge that he was not a true moneylender of the realm and threatened to call in the king’s army to hunt Frostkiss down and run him out of the kingdom - or worse.
