They spend many seasons deep in a long sleep and if one is lucky enough to be in a forest of these slumbering merwood giants – as it is rumoured that only 3 or 4 of these majestic forests are left – and looks closely enough, one can just make out the faces of these grand beings among the bark. Asleep, they look just like normal trees and one could pass through their forest without even knowing it, except for an odd lingering feeling… Every 100 seasons or so these sleeping giants awaken and uproot themselves causing massive rumblings for many leagues around.
