Started with a few (deliberately) untextured 3D models to block out the image (including the memorial, which I modelled myself). The bulk of it wound up being hand-painted in Photoshop. I really wanted this to feel like an ink-&-paint, 2D comic book cover and not a 3D render. Enjoy, and best of luck to everyone who enters!
