When I saw this contest, I thought, what the heck, I'll enter. I decided to do an homage to some of the artists whose work I admire the most. The D-Trooper from Moebius 87, The Dark Places Industrial from Stonemason (a workhorse for me over my 3D "career"), DarkWingZero's Raptor and Neural Ghost, which has inspired me to a new level of sci-fi pinup work, and last but in no way least, Dagonessa's Cleaver from ElorOnceDark and the Rust Cleaver texture from Secretheart. This image is designed to be a wrap-around book cover, saddle stitched, and is 300 DPI at 17x11 flat, 8.5x11 folded. It also weighs in somewhere around a half a gigabyte in size, and has a total of about 14 hours into it sketches-3, render-5, postwork-6. Good luck to all who enter.
