The rain came falling down today, I looked outside at the ominous gray. I heard the boom of the thunder clap, And saw the streak of the lightning zap. It pushed aside all my plans, It made my day oh so bland. Sitting waiting for it to pass, As drops roll down window glass. Then I saw the lights go out, All I could do was sit and pout. Like cats and dogs as they say, The rain came falling down today.
