Submission Guidelines

Your short story must be based on the theme: "Holidays Around the World" Create a short story depicting a December holiday wish Tell us your tale in 1,000 words or less. Double space between paragraphs. Include the word count and the end of the story. Do NOT use html formatting except physical style tags - read this post on how to use physical style tags to format your text! (If the link isn't working for you, try this one instead.) Save and upload THIS image as BOTH the Image and Thumbnail files:

Contest Rules

Contest Theme: Holidays Around the World Only one entry per author. Enter a short story (fiction or nonfiction) which illustrates the theme. Start: Friday, December 1, 2006 End: Sunday, December 31, at 11:59p.m. Renderosity Server Time [Central Time Zone]. Entries must be time-stamped by December 31, 2006 - late entries will not be accepted. Final Review: January 1-5, 2007 Judging: January 8-19, 2007 Winners to be announced: January 22, 2007 Winner's Announcement will be posted on the Renderosity Front Page, the Community Center Forum, the Contest Forum and this official contest page. Only one entry per author is allowed (even if you have multiple email accounts, only one entry per person). One prize per person maximum, across all Holiday Contest categories. You must be a Renderosity member to enter [membership is free]. All members can enter, with the exception of those on the Judging Panel, the Holiday Contest Managers, and current Administrators Very Important: your story must be a new work, not previously posted online, in your gallery, or anywhere else publicly. Entries must not appear online anywhere during the contest or until the contest winners have been posted. Stories must comply with Renderosity's Writer's Guidelines No sexuality, profanity, or extreme violence. Stories must be suitable for all audiences. By uploading your short story, you are declaring that this is your original work. By entering the contest you are giving Renderosity permission to publish your short story or poem on the Renderosity Front Page News if you are declared one of the contest winners. Judging

The winning entries will be selected by a Judging Panel - The Panel's decision is final. Judges will perform independent reviews of the submissions.
