October Writer's Forum Challenge (Poetry)

This is the first poetry contest under the new format and, as it is October, Halloween is the theme of this month's poetry challenge. Your poetry entry should in some way relate to the themes, subject, or feel of Halloween. This is a broad topic and everyone should feel free to think outside the box or as far in the box as they wish. Don't be afraid to let the ghouls, ghosts, and gargoyles fly!

Halloween

This is the first poetry contest under the new format and, as it is October, Halloween is the theme of this month's poetry challenge. Your poetry entry should in some way relate to the themes, subject, or feel of Halloween. This is a broad topic and everyone should feel free to think outside the box or as far in the box as they wish. Don't be afraid to let the ghouls, ghosts, and gargoyles fly!

Submission Guidelines

Your poetry must be based on the monthly challenge theme: "Halloween". Only poetry will be accepted for this challenge. A separate prose contest is available. Ignore the 5 line limit on the box when you upload - that limit is only for "image contests." Double space between stanzas. Type directly in the upload box or copy/paste from Notepad (or similar editing program). IMPORTANT: Copy/Pasting from complex word processing programs, such as MS Word, can change certain characters. If you use MS Word: Copy/Paste from Word into Notepad, then Copy/Paste into the contest upload box. Do not insert html formating

Image Submission

You may use your own image but must supply a matching thumbnail with your entry. Before uploading your text: right click on the following images and save to your hard drive. Rename the image: thumb.jpg or main.jpg
