Our thanks to ShaaraMuse3D for taking the time to answer our questions and for providing the music for the video gallery. Great work, ShaaraMuse3D!

Renderosity: We are so impressed with your creations! There’s so much variety in your store. How do you decide on a particular item to develop and sell?

ShaaraMuse3D: The whole thing started as a hobby, so I usually picked things I wanted for my own projects, so it was based on inspiration, but as things grew, it continued this way. Usually, I see something, in nature, or online, and I get inspired to build something. Other times it’s based on a passion to explore technology, such as photo scanning, which you can see in many of the nature products, or HDRI photography which also requires some specific gear to do. Also, it’s fun to explore 3d or effect generation techniques for example in Blender. I’m a huge fan of exploration! But truly, my camera is my biggest inspiration. I love going outside capturing textures, 3d objects, HDRI scenes, anything I can find, especially nature. So sometimes, the camera decides!

One of your best sellers is the Modular 3D Kits: High Rise Vistas; tell us about how you created this impressive product?

I saw so much urban art out in the communities I wanted to try something similar myself. I took a modular approach and created different cutouts for building styles, Generally, I wanted to take a modular approach, so I could reuse textures, and keep detail and use variations of them. By building modular floors, and special texture sets for the windows, I could create more variations and heights of the buildings, and then create different themes.

How did you develop your skills in digital art? Are you self-taught?

Yes, pretty much self-taught, my main career has been music and sound, but I have always had a big passion for 3d modeling, texturing, and photography, which is why I use almost exclusively my own photos, especially for nature stuff. I was even doing some basic 3d modeling when I was a teenager, but it took off again when I started making some dynamic clothes for Victoria 4, 10 years ago or so, and then it started expanding from there. I spent a lot of time modeling by hand, like with Wings3D and Blender, and then learned to use other tools along the way.

What products are you looking to develop in the future?

I’ve got more nature products in the pipe, like a rain forest. Definitely more VFX stuff with elements like water, fire, sparks, and stuff like that, but also more large modular sets, which I really enjoy making these days. Now that traveling is opening up again, I can’t wait to get outside more with the camera to capture more material and inspiration!

Any last thoughts or comments?

Thank you for having me at Renderosity, and thanks to an awesome Poser/Daz community that is still growing after all these years!

I'm a fan of all you have created! I'm a Poser girl and so very hopeful you continue to make your wonderful content available for that platform. Molly
