Description
My third May 4th tribute image - a bit of fun this time.
Service could get dull and very repetitive on the Death Star, with very little light relief. Receiving a dinner party invite from Lord Vader was a mixed blessing - a break from the monotony of Imperial life, but a potential death warrant if you refused or insulted his soufflé.
Never one to pass up a party invite, Darth Maul (as always) made sure he was the centre of attention, regaling the other guests with funny stories of Vader's training failures during their time with Emperor Palpatine. This always resulted in Vader stirring his mixture furiously with the hope that this soufflé would be the one to wipe the cocky smile off Maul's face, rather than again having to utter 'I find your lack of rise disturbing'.
For the purist, I appreciate Maul and Vader did not live in the same timeline and that a master could not have 2 apprentices - artistic licence at its best!

This is absolutely magnificent - I love it! And so perfectly done! Yeah, Maul always seems to enjoy being the center of attention.. Sadly, I understand that lately he's only half the man he used to be.... But Mother Talzin will get him back in shape - sort of...

Funny and full of details - the droids on the shelf are a nice touch, too.
You bumped up the realism in this scene tenfold! Excellent job in having Vader host such a great Dinner! I would not want to say no to him but then again I would be hesitant to say yes also! I think you bringing these two Sith lords together is awesome!...I have often wanted to not only bring these two together but also have Luke join in at the dinner table. That would require a different timeline of course. Excellent work on this render on a special Star Wars day! :-)
