Greetings All. Today I offer you 'Raiding Party'. A Pirate themed render following the story of Captain De Vargas and his free wheeling Pirate crew.
****
De Vargas noted, the lumbering cargo ship of the King sat low in the water She was heavy with gold and supply. His plan had worked. The pirate's main sailing ship, the 'Destino' had presented herself to the King's cargo ship with great fanfare and cannon noise. Upon seeing the 'Destino' on the horizon, the Spanish ship crew prepared for battle.
Unknown to the Spanish Captain, Santigo, De Vargas had an ace up his sleeve. He would take the smaller and faster ship, "The Broken Anger' and come in from the south. With the sun at his back, De Vargas would pin the cargo ship between the two pirate ships. With all Spanish eyes on the 'Destino,' De Vargas was able to creep within 20 yards of the unsuspecting cargo ship.
It was then, he let loose with a full broadside. The cannon crew's were on today. The Spanish ship was hit just above the waterline. If there was to be a second salvo those cannon balls would be even lower yet, beneath the waterline. The Spanish Captain had been warned.
There was nothing but fear in Captain Santigo's eyes as he felt his ship shudder under the surprise blast's coming from its rear. The day for Santigo was lost before it ever began. There would be a 'parley' now. Treasure for safe passage through these waters. There would be hell to pay when Santigo returned to Spain.
Perhaps a better option might be to just join up with De Vargas and forget this little encounter ever happened.

Humble attempt at art??? You sir, are sickeningly modest... and I mean that in the most sincere way.
One only needs to view full size to agree with my statement, the intricate (and subtle) details are absolutely amazing. If this is a humble attempt, I don't know if I could handle your best.
These party crashers are not welcome. Great action and expressions. Love all the elements Dag.
