Description
Deigo's Plunder
Diego De Vargas has plundered yet another of the King's coastal villages. With the village under his control, his women and men have been ordered to raid the Governor's estate and take all of the plunder they find to the village square. As the villagers watch from behind their closed windows, the pirate divides the plunder into the two equal piles. He, and his crew, will take half of it. The other half is left for the villagers. On this night De Vargas has declared La fiesta de De Vargas. There will be merriment in the village tonight. But it will also give the villagers time to hide or to bury their share of the Governor's loot. Come the first morning light, the pirate De Vargas will sail.
