Is this available now? If so, where (PM me if you don't want to say here). I love the simple beige tones, they really make the face and the red text and blood stand out. I also really like that you used a slightly different, more muted blood tone. That adds a level of sophistication that (quite frankly) I would have been capable of. I just love using really strong elements like blood to "slap" my audience and get their attention. And, of course, that's not appropriate for a Victorian-inspired piece about Sherlock Holmes (Jolly Jack, yes – Holmes & Watson, no). The expression, lighting and faint splatters of blood are sublime. The inclusion of the famous Deerstalker hat is a deft nod to The Master Detective. I really like it.
I have one odd thought/observation, which I suspect is too late. It has to do with the black splotch on the wooden post beneath the hat. It kinda reminds me of the Batman logo. I admit, it's not obvious (and there's a good chance I'm the only one who will see it), but I thought I would mention it. BTW: I'm IMPRESSED by how you nailed the sponge texture. Wow, Impressive.
