Haven't used the Original The Girl (made by Kim Goossens) since last summer. Updated DS to 4.12.0.86 since then. Tried to load her in late January and the program crashed. And continued to crash when I loaded her. Tried uninstalling, then reinstalling her without success. Per the DAZ help desk's advice I installed the 4.12.1.76 Beta, and the Girl was able to load without crashing.
It was suggested that I keep using the beta until the new general release. We'll see. I tested Girl 3 (Naomi and Echo) and Girl 7 (Tempestt) in the Beta. The Beta seemed slower than the current general release, but that's expected I suppose. And I don't think I have all my directory paths set up correctly. Probably will switch between beta and GR until the new update.

And in other news: it's been three years tonight since Vampire Tiffany became "canon." I only realized while poking through my gallery looking for unrelated uploads. Not sure if I want to give her a bigger head than what she already got, but I'll try to come up with some dedi...

OK... Temp is enjoying this waaaaay too much! I haven't seen her smile this much since I gave her that pretty lace curtain to play with... LOL The gals are looking hot to trot, Wes! Great job!
I haven't installed the newest version of DS as yet - I'm still running 4.11... And probably will until I can upgrade the OS SSD in my DAZ machine. It's a paltry 500GB (never thought I'd call 500GB "paltry"), and it's a nice bright red in when I bring up the "my computer" window. Because it's FULL - or nearly so. I want to stick at least a 2TB SSD in it, and do a fresh load of Windoze, then the latest DS along with Photoshop, and probably I'll start playing with Bryce again. And Blender. And anything else I can think of to make my head explode. It never ends...

Thanks, Steve. When I first started out in 3D eons ago (2004, but didn't post anything until 2007) I used Poser 4 (or what the box called "Poser Artist"). When I bought Bryce in '07 DS was included. It seemed easier to use, and it handled crosstalk better than Poser at that time. Stuck with it since.
That said, I should have kept Poser along with DS. Because more tools would be helpful.

Thanks, Dan. I hope the next update will really fix the crash issue. For all I know, it could be a database issue or something, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
Great looking scene and story. I've got DS 12 on my computer and it seems to handle things quite well.
