_______ On the second morning of the trek to Laprak, we woke up very early and had this view of the Himalayas from the top of a mountain where we had set our tents late in the afternoon the day before, reaching a modest campground located near an even more modest'Hotel Mamche'!
________ This photo features the Ganesh Himal which marks the border with Tibet.The highest peak in the range is Yangra (Ganesh I), 7,422 m (24,350 ft). There are three other peaks over 7,000 metres plus some fourteen others over 6,000 metres.In the foreground, you can see a couple of late-blooming rhododendrons, which look like veritable trees,unlike what we can see in our Western-world gardens! By the way, it is hard to visualize what Europe's highest summit would look like in this landscape, considering that the Mont-Blanc is only 4,810 metres high...

Ca c'est de la vue ou je ne m'y connais pas ! Cette photo est superbe et je pense qu'elle doit être associée à pas mal de souvenirs qui te sont chers
Quant à s'imaginer la taille du Mont Blanc auprès de ces sommets majestueux... Difficile de se dire qu'il ne ferait que les 2/3 tellement ça paraît incroyable !
Bon, pour ma part, je vais commencer mes préparatifs pour mon départ qui approche rapidement : un check-up en règle de mon appareil photo est prévu pour ne rien laisser au hasard

Ce paysage grandiose ressemble étrangement à ce que l'on peut voir vers chez moi ou vers chez toi, j'imagine mais avec une différence de taille, c'est le cas de le dire ! Superbe photo qui donne envie de chausser ses chaussures de marche, de prendre ses bâtons et de partir à l'aventure...mais 7000 m, c'est au-delà de mes possibilités.
Quelle chance de pouvoir admirer un tel paysage quand les ombres sont encore profondes.......magnifique photo, Jean-Luc !
