Description
NOTE TO FIRST 4 POSTERS: I have replaced the image with this one. To see the original gallery image click my name and homepage. A link is there. A link is there also to a 3rd image! I you have a comment on the 3rd one, let me know.
This is deliberately grainy. I am just trying stuff.
The pickers and grinners at a bluegrass or other country get together have a good time..they look at me and say, "do you play" extending the banjo or guitar. I have to say, "No, but wished I did."
Get two or three or more and music erupts. Really nice stuff and no other human boundries are erected. It is all about the fun and the music.
The guy in the chair? He brought the mules in my gallery image "Just a Swing'n". Good folk these are.

Haha.. hope you enjoyed yourself. Any music is fun sorry you couldn't pick with them.
Your picture looks a bit too modern. I thought it looked sort of old from the thumbnails.
Looks like some good ole down-home fun to me. Good job here.
What a way to relax. Did you crop the left side. To me it needs a bit more to stretch it out. I feel that a wider image would look good for this scene. Good effect on the postwork though.
Yup...been to these with my family of musicians. Everyone just starts playing and it all clicks! Great welcoming feel to this photo. The thermal coffee mug on the banjo case is humorous!! (maybe should be a moonshine jug?!?) :0)
I love these impromtu jams...And I am certainly grinning at these muscians...being one myself I can appreciate it when muscians jam like this..seems the best music comes out when it's not so structured! Great shot here! Aloha~
Hmmm... ok I've come along later in the game.... I found the thumb interesting and that's what brought me here. My initial reaction was how much I like the subdued coloration. It's nice! I've also been to look at the original.... this version is better, but if I may offeer a compositional critique? I realize that this image may have been taken on a whim, and so planning may not have been on your mind. I find the people straying into the image on the left end quite distracting to the compo, as well as the empty chair that's sitting smack dab in the middle. I agree with Doug that the original needed more..... but I also feel that somewhere in between the original and this would work better...... In any case I do like the post work! And it looks like a fun time! All offered with good feelings and intentions.....
like the grain & desaturation of color too... & agree the the 2 on the end are falling off... has a great feel to it though!! grinnin! :D
real good work
impressive and effectful color setting and a delightful and excellent composed photo with a nostalgic expression! ;o)
I love this! Looks like a lot of fun going on!!
