Description
Another shot of a Koa Canoe being lifted into the water for the races into Hilo Bay. Each Koa canoe has it's own colors and tones to the wood, and I really liked this one.
Hope your 4th was as good as mine...Aloha Everyone!

Very nice action shot ! I love the color too ! :~)
Oh, I am falling in love. I just love KOA wood work. Anything will do. It is so beautiful. Hope to catch some fireworks. Have a good one Dave. Aloha
good portrait! I love the wood collage of the canoe!
Looks to me like the Koa and the guy lifting it share about equal prominance(sp?) in this shot. Another nice one Dave.!
fantastic all-round photography, love it!!!!
Almost look like Junior... Excellent shot. Aloha
I can see why you liked this one - it's really a beaut! The rugged coach lifting the end gives a sense of it's weight, as well :)
the coach! looks strong & the wood so beautiful... like the tight crop here :]
mmm never realised about the colours and tone of wood in the koa.. find that so intruiging and interesting.. they are beautifully crafted and no doubt treasured... beautiful quality of p'graphy :)...)))))))))))))
Looks quite heavy, but the wood must be very solid and the textures look very interesting!
wow! looks more beautiful than a furniture! thanks for the close up! ;o)
yep...this turned out so good....and what a fine grain in that Koa...aloha!

The textures and colours on the canoe look fantastic! Impressive shot, Dave! Aloha
