I made this image today with someone in mind.
Someone who inspired me to be who I am, take pride in it, follow my dreams, and never, EVER give up.
My hero, my angel, my very special little boy, Mattie Stepanek.
It was a year ago today that he passed away, after a long struggle with muscular dystrophy. He was a light in a very, very dark time in my life and made me have hope. He was loved by those who knew him personally, and those who only knew of him, and he is missed dearly.
There's a candle on my windowsill for you tonight, Mattie. May you rest well, my friend.
I love you.
