Description
I've just learnt how to calibrate my monitor and I realized at the same time that many of my pics are really too dark and that I'm gonna have to re-work lots of them!
Man I'm pissed off!!
Anyway, thx for viewing guys!

Really? But ive always found your photos to have just the correct tonal range...sigh..does that mean my screen sucks as well....SIIIGH!!! Cool line-up P, looks really great...although to me they look a little too bright...but OF COURSE THAT`S BECAUSE MY MONITOR HASNT BEEN CALIBRATED....SIGH!!! #:op Have a wonderful day, and once again CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #:O)
Cool! I changed my mind...I don't need to walk far from my house...we have boxes for garbidge...thanks for idea...I should do some B&W photos...it's better for lovely new civilization images! Ha, ha...this one is fantastic!!! Excellent shot!*****!
I've 'bin' away for a while - but glad to be back to see your lovely stuff!
Had to calibrate my monitor a few weeks ago too as I couldn't see a lot of the finer details in my images, they were too dark. Now they look lighter and slightly on the dull side sigh One day I might go back and rework them. Cool pic here Pascale, I love how you can create something great out of the ordinary.
I agree with Zacko, I never saw that they where to dark???? Maybe you need a glasses??..lol.....great shot....
After looking at this photo awhile I started to see those bins moving... lol Great capture with fine tones. :-)
perfect alignment in this compo.. ekkk!!! those dreaded wheelie bins.. the tonal range of b/w is soft to the eye..its beautiful.. and l,ve always found your colour range Perfect.:)..)) excellent work
Every where, and in the whole world!!!I try to do different!! Even if i have a PC ,and not a Mac,I think different!!(ECOLOGY is my CREDO!)
Nice Shot!
I haven't noticed anything wrong with your uploads so far - and I'm usually able to tell when people have their monitors set wrong as their retouches stand out a mile ;-) But if you're even better set up than you were, your photography will improve even more, which it is anyway ;-)
Your pics haven't looked dark on my monitor. This is a cool photo. I am always amazed that you find such interesting things to shoot that others pass by.
Excellent photo, the depth of field is great! I like you in-camera framing! Yeah got to calibrate! Do you use photoShop? Using levels is easy, and very important! Big hugs to you my friend! ;)
Excellent creation love composition and perspective...well done my friend...love it.!
Once you get your moniter calibrated, the next step is to calibrate that to a bloody photo printer! As usual, an excellent photo in your great candid style. Excellent Isolation of Element. Great comp and framing.
i remember this from the forum...your uploads always looked good on my screen :)
trashy shot (just jking of corse) wonderful perspective...excellent photgraphy!!
You have such a great eye, Pascale ! Excellent compo ! And I like the choice of B&W ! :~)
Excellent shot !
your true test is how they print!!! i never saw your shots as being off... but then my monitor is set a bit lighter!! so mine may seem dark too ;] do not be trashin them just yet here... great depth to this
I like the pattern and perspevtive in this shot :) Not so sure about you're others being dark they look ok to me.
Eeek! Another grim memory from your keen social documentary eye! About calibration, I'm with the others. Your pix always look fine to me too :-)
all your photos are perfectly 'calibrated' in my monitor ... and this one is no exception. I love this b&w capture. Bravo Pascale !!!
~~As I Said Many Times...You Have A Great Eye For Photography. This Capture Is Brilliant. Keep Em Comming!~~
I've Bin everywhere, Man... I've Bin everywhere, Man... Crossed the Deserts Bare, Man.. I've Breathed the Mountain Air, Man.. Travel...I've had My share, Man... I've Bin everywhere! salute
what does calibrated mean?...my eyes recalibrate everything anyway. i think mine is ok, i know it is different to the one at work.... sometimes I see weird dark shapes on the lighter one where I've tried to blot something into dark... looks terrible. I gave up this calibration stuff. Most folk are a bit lighter on the screen than me... that's all I know, I make adjustment for that.
I never find your images to be too dark, Pascale... They always looked just fine to me... Maybe they didn't look exactly as you wanted it on my monitor, but hey, we all have different monitor settings anyway, so yeah, it's frustrating but not worth getting pissed off too much :)) hugs
I have to agree,Pascale. They have never looked dark to me either.Your pics always look wonderful.I've thought about recalibrating my monitor but now maybe I won't!Have a great evening, sweetie!
Hey, that's one great compo, Pascale! Brilliant!Hmmm... never found your images to be too dark! They always looked fine on my monitor! We all have different monitor settings so it's not worth getting pissed off. I do not care about that anymore!
You're funny, Pascale ! all your images look perfect so don't worry about it!!!!!!! I always love this picture!!! I remember seeing this one in the forum i think!!!!! Funny how you can make garbage cans look so good!!!!!!!! Superb photography!
Hey sweetie, I think you images have been just fine. A lot of photographers preferr their photos to have some nice meaty darks in them. Is this a rework of an older image? I look familiar. Anyway, well done. Super tones and I love the repetition, DOF and the subject matter. :)
