Description
Molen 'the Kat' means Windmill called 'the cat'. It is one of the most important windmills of the Zaanse Schans, a place located North from Amsterdam and well know by many foreigners. No wonder.. it is of course one of the most important windmill sites in Holland.
This particular windmill was and is used for producing chalk.

The wind blowing the reeds is a major enhancement on this. Of course the mill is a true art piece in itself. ahhh one day to see a real one would be a joy.
