If I remember correctly, the secondary navigational deflector is a heavy phaser cannon.
I think potrimpo is right...well at least it does looks like a phaser cannon.
Yeah it was a very heavy phaser or possibly disruptor, great job though replicating it.
Fantastic work, and I do agree with you about the care put into the advancements by the Star Trek team. Supurb work none-the-less.
