Description
Based on the Michael Trim design used in the Jeff Wayne muical, this model was one of the first models i built using lightwave. I found it recently on a CD so thought i'd do something with it. Hope you like and any comments appreciated.
All Lightwave and Photoshop.

excellent work. Modelling, choice of colors, the laserbeam and background is very well done.
Yes all of the above + a Vote;)
Aaah..WOTW as it should be. No doubt the new film will destroy the original story in favour of Spielbergian sentimentalism (the updating of the story and the new setting has already spoilt it for me...I live near Horsell where the story was set in the book. Setting it in the US is sacrilege). Jeff Wayne's version will remain my favourite and this image does it justice. Great work.
good news. Jeff Waynes WOTW is being made into an Animated Movie!!! see here for details and some animation tests - http://waroftheworldsonline.com/movies/jeffwaynetestfootage.htm
