Description

This was one of those happy accidents you get every once in a while. I was playing with Vue's procedural terrains and twiddled the dials just the right way to come up with a reasonably convincing coral bed terrain. Just follow the simple 2 step recipe above(apologies to non-Vuers) - The key is to clip the terrain altitudes with the accidental filter I came up with, which punches holes in the columns to make them look like tube coral. Play with the colors as you like - the ones I used here were similar to what I saw diving in Cabo, but I might be a little off, since I drank a goodly amount of wine and Tequila the night before.

Very good stuff. I've never made much use of the filters in Vue. Clearly I need to use them more.

Dave, this is really great. Very realistic. Thanks for sharing your discovery. This is a great way to get a great find like this out to help other artists in the community in that one could spend hours, or days, or weeks changing variables to find something specific like this. Much better than sifting through tutorials too! Thanks again. "E" V
