Description
This shot is from across the harbor from Covington looking towards Canton which is where the shots of the marina, etc. were taken from.
The large white vessel is the USNS COMFORT(T-AH 20). This is a converted supertanker and is only slightly larger than the SANCTUARY: 14,500 tons vs. 69,300 tons. COMFORT ranks among the top 10 largest hospitals in the US in terms of capacity.

She is homeported in Baltimore and quite a sight in real life.
Between COMFORT and the camera is a typical freighter. Got lots of types to pick from. Some container cranes in the background, etc. All this dwarfing a pleasure boat in the mid distance. The foreground shows the remains of some dock not far from where TAMAROA was docked... TAMAROA has been moved more towards the inner harbor.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

Wow!!! Amazing big! Thank you for the explanation! Have a great day!
stunning scene and view! was working for 2 years at a contatainer station with similar crans! ;o)
Dear TW, Help! The e-bot's have got torches and pitchforks! I think I'm in big trouble! Holy Cats! That is a big hospital ship - almost as big as a carrier. The harbor looks a lot like Houston's - a sea of container activity. They really have changed the face of shipping. I think there are moves afoot to build another container port at Barbour's Cut down on the Ship Channel. I'll have to take a drive down there at some point. Excellent work!! Love, Meredith
