Description
A view from a much-changed Clinton Street. Gone is the coal terminal, gone are a lot of decrepit buildings, the road to the wharf cats is blocked for now, and the John W. Brown left its pier and is doing a tour circuit.
However, we are left with this clear view towards Fells Point and the area we just left where The Can Company rules the corner.
Most of this was sky and dug up dirt: crop! This leaves us with a letter-box view of a newish marina ruling the midscene area. THe blue roof is probably the marina club; my guess is the lighthouse is a giveaway for that. The brick building left of the blue roof is the terminal building at Fells Point. This is also the police station seen in the TV series Homicide. It is a real police station as well. Just right of the blue roof is a smokestack belonging to I don't know what, but it seems to be part of the complex to the right of that: reclaimed industrial buildings which are now condos/apartments.
To the right are the towers of a church and a smokestack which marks the location of the Safeway I pointed out in an earlier posting. The flagpoles are probably the Korean War memerial and the golden domes of a Russian-style church are just visible on the skyline.
Let's open this camer to 10X zoom and see some of this in a bit more detail.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

Yep...I remember that Series "Homicide"....suits the Scene...a fine showing.
favoloso e altamente suggestivo questo scenario! Un grande e spettacolare scatto
Dear TW, I'm kind of suprised that this area isn't all marinas. Perhaps they'll be there in time - and then again, there may be other problems. One of the choicest spots for a marina down toward Galveston has been tied up in litigation for years - and may never be settled. There was a building that once house a grocery store that has been vacant my entire life will the heirs and there lawyers have fought it out again and again. Maybe the next generation will finally figure out some way to settle their differences. Excellent skyline panorama!!! Love, Meredith
Some really nice craft across the water. So good to see somewhere I will never go. Very well done with the panorama, thanks for the shot!!!
