Description
Thanks to Buzzzzz for this 1155 DEM file of 'Sedona, Arizona'. Red Rock Crossing is very near where Buzzzzz, stbc, pclavett and I stayed while in Sedona. Not Terragen or a photograph can do justice to the beauty of this place - you must be there to appreciate it. Try to fit Sedona into your travel plans some one of these days.

very interesting terrain pal... I like that simple sky too! ;)
This is so very very realistic!! Lighting and surfacing is awesome and the distance perception is just beautiful. Wonderful work Bob!!
Excellent atmo and light!
Very interesting rock formation and the terrain look great! I love your light and this endless blue sky!!
I agree, Bob - I captured many images through the camera lens, and they are also forever in my memory. Fitting tribute here!
Very beautiful landscape, love the clear atmo!
Agree with you!...
Love the sky and subtle clouds Bob ! Beautiful image ! Also agree that it is hard to render this to the beauty that we have experienced first hand while we were there ! We can always rely on our memories.....and they are good ones ! Have a great weekend my friend !
Excellent lighting, beautiful place!
I love the lighting here. It really gives those grass and rock surfaces a realistic look! Excellent work!
Brilliant creation and wonderful light, surface, perfect combination and mood!
Where be the water?? :O) Well Done Bob. Nice colors, great POV.
That pure, deep, clear sky really draws me into the image. I know where I'm going when I take a vacation. Excellent!
Bob, the light, colors and pov are all so right!!! Sedona is one of my favorite places on Earth, thanks in part to your hospitality and comradship! I agree it is a MUST destination if you enjoy the outdoors and grand vistas.
Bob this turned out just beautiful! Red Rock Crossing is a real magical place! You have captured the essence of it in this gorgeous image! Bravo! V
Love the sky, and shadowing.
You are very welcome Bob! I don't mind sharing with those who appreciate it. :o) BTW! Beautiful Colors and Surfaces! But the Atmo and Lighting win the Prize! Thanks for being a good friend Bob! There aren't many around like you. And no I m not backslapping! Just telling it like it is. :o)
awesome lighting and colors!!!
Excellent surfacing and lighting; it would be fascinating to see a photo taken from the same pov (perhaps an exercise for a future project).
Wow Bob...a moon would have looked real nice in that sky :) as is...it is super excellent!!
Absolutely gorgeous image!!! excellent I wish good luck in your job. Mike.
This is outstanding Bob! But I must agree it can never compare to the real Sedona. Perhaps future versions of Terragen will be more realistic. A lot of people who have never been to Sedona (or anywhere in Arizona for that matter) have this image of barren desert in their mind. Until they have seen it firsthand, they have no idea the beauty they are missing!
If I went there, I have the sneaky suspicion that I would be bit by a rattlesnake. Great work!
agree with all the above , this is one amazing piece of work thank you, my vote!
Agree with Christian,Bravo Bob!
Wonderful light, fantastic surface, awesome pov. I resume it is perfect ;-) Excellent done Bob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
