When this image first came up and was still scrolling onto the screen, I thought of giant chess board figures. Even now, I would love to image that this is what these wonderful statues are and at any moment one of the ancient roman gods hand would appear and move the figure . . . It is a beautiful place to meet as one might even imagine that the two depicted are you Monika and Roberto.
