Lava Skin Stage 3 to 5: A continuation from my last post
"Lava Skin Stage 2" . Top pictures (stage 3 and 4) are about seconds apart. Bottom picture stage 5 is taken at a different angle and is about 1 minute apart from stage 3. Its fun and exciting to see this lava flow but one must be careful with the dangers around this lava flow. Not only the hot lava or flying lava skin you must be aware of but the amount of time you spend in this lava field (1'40"). One may think they are use to the volcano air but that is so wrong. The air is not pure. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

excellent serie. wonderful shots !!!!!!!! #:O)!!!! Aloha !!!!!!!!!!
LOL @Tedz hehe Superb shooting again !! Arent those sulferic-acid fumes dangerous btw. ?
ebsmooth, I'm not sure what the exact speed of the lava but in my past post "Rapid Lava", it was moving about 3 to 5 mph as it came out. Then it slowed down as it got farther away from the opening. In the past, I've seen it move much much faster............................... Enmos, Yes, the Volcano fumes are hazardous to your health. They do contain hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and glass particles. People with heart or breathing problems are at high risk. Also young children and pregnant are at high risk. One should not breath these fumes as people have died............................... Akemi, you are right...I needed to take a break and get some fresh air as the fumes did affect me some. I did go up Mauna Kea again and visited Lake Waiau where the air is thin. Ahhh..sweet air, lol
