~*~ Sidhe ~*~ "For all the hillside was haunted By the faery folk come again And down in the heart-light enchanted Were opal-coloured men" ~~~~~~~~~~ Sidhe (pronounced 'shee') literally means "people of the (fairy) hills". It is the Gaelic name for the fairies in both Ireland and the Highlands of Scotland. Usually these fairies are attracted to those who are beautiful as well as wealthy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An older sketch which I've had sitting around. I've done it in several different versions. I still would like to give her a more human appearance. But either way I'm happy with this version. She's been smudged, repainted, a bit more shadowing, added some extra hair to give it more flow. Repainted the background, changed the coloration and here she is. Thank yous to everyone who viewed my mermaid.
