Terrific idea and great execution (no pun intended)! There is a problem, though: the copper wire that's wound around the nail should be insulated. Bare wire will short out and no magnetic field will be created. In real life, the copper wire in an electromagnet is coated with shellac for insulation. You need to either darken and shine the wire around the nail as though shellacked, or put the red plastic insulation back. However, since no one else seems to have noticed this, I guess it's not really important. BTW, I love your work!
