Description
This tower is near Cape May Point in NJ. This is one of Some of the first pics I took with my Oly c5060. Factory default settings -On ~ LOL. I believe I did try the telephoto.
I stayed in the car, so cold that day I couldn't take a steady shot otherwise.
I modded it a bit, and pic is greatly cropped and resized for upload.

Good capture. There are a number of these on the MD/DE coast as well. For the uninitiated: These are coastal artillery spotting towers. The guns are long gone, but the towers are still around. One was turned into a harbormasters' watch/office and one is in the middle of a spiffy development. U-Boats were the main objective. It was not unusual for spies/saboteurs to be landed on isolated beaches.
