Poor Horseshoe Crab didn't quite make it back to the water's safety.

Wow.. i thought these kinds of animals were already extinct! The image looks a bit boring. Try not to shoot directly downwards and the animal doesn't need to be in the center of the image... In this particular case I would have taken a shot with this crab and the sea in the background or so... This one looks more like a study.
I think it is an excellent picture! I love being able to see one of these creatures close up. The pebbles on the beach surrounding her bring a beautiful contrast and color to the image. :-)
