This is a splendid capture Matt the dark background suits the species perfectly I have only ever seen these in Ireland in the dark peat bogs
You know, when I see something like this my toes start to twitch... I get this almost uncontrollable itch to just STAMP on it... :D That's a hell of a macro... the way you got the colors is impressive... and... oh, that's it, I can't look at it any longer...!
beautiful shot - perhaps a bit more dof on the legs would create a more realistic view...
Oh shit, I wouldn't even try more Dof...this rascal gave me so much shit....
Well I don't know what old Niu is on about... fancy stamping on something as lovely as this!!.. give me a mounting board and a pin anytime!
Amazing details in this photo, wonderul idea , amazing capture , it could not be much better! V XLT
this is absolutely perfect and love the post work.. wowwwww top draw .. outstanding wooo hooo love it :)...)
Nice work matt! You know a little smoke will usually settle these guys down. Maybe next time you decide to work with bugs you should lite up a stogie and and blow sweet nothings in his ear. Most often this will work and they become still and very posable. KP
Lovely creature with brilliant colours :)) You have perfectly captured this nice reflections on his back :)) wonderful:))

Very cool work, the the metallic sheen is eye catching.
This is one beautiful beetle.... like gwfa, I'd like to see more dof..... but I do understand that with a moving subject and lack of available light this can be an impossible thing! Great job regardless.... I think it's a great shot!
