Description
I have been trying to get "portraits" of the cats who own this house. Casey is old, 14 years with lots of memories of when she could jump and play and catch earthworms by hearing them in the soil. Then her fur coat was much thicker as fitting for a Maine Coon cat.
Now, she sits on the pullout of this old desk where the computer sits. She asks for help getting up here and speaks as I put a gentle assist to her "jump". I rub her head, she meows slightly, one of those silent meows. I rub more on her cheek, she does soft nibbles on my hand. This one was a bit more than a soft nibble but well intentioned. Oh my, still looking to do her "portrait"...this is her showing love to me. Looks dangerous! It is not as long as the claws are trimmed. TomDart.

really like a old cat thank you!!!!!!
She's beautiful. I am glad she is happy.
She's lucky that she can spend her old days at your home. Beautiful cat!
she looks quite happy actually... with a big kitty smile! :D
Yes, they really can smile, but I don't know if they mean the same thing as we humans with it, If it had nbeen me I would have fixed her pupils. Even if she is old you can see the wild in her.
Wonderful and also a privilege to have the love of an animal.
fantastic and characterful portrait of this little tiger! ;o)
Poor ol gal is stiff, can't blame her if she takes the occasionl swat at you! ;) Lovely Grand Dame!
Love the story, mine always talk to me, especially when I don't want to listen, lol! But I love the very distinctive meows and purrs and the soft way their eyes show you they love you.
