As I was rendering this image I started humming "On The First Day Of Christmas". The title came to me in the third stanza.
Who knows where this stuff comes from. I figure it's best sometimes to not even ask...just trust.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments on my recent posts. They motivate me to keep seeking the flame...

Super Creation, light and colors, mood and image!Happy Easter for you!
This is a splendid render. I love the rich yellow shade combinted with the brilliant gold shade. The colors help to highlight the design and texture of the image. Perfection at it's best!
I think u have found the flame Gary :) A lovely golden one at that!!!!!
Fantastic flame! I love those colors 'n' details. Cool the way part of it is so solid, and the other part has the nice transparency. (:
I get the point Gary. Cool flame, great colors. I'm confused tho...are the points pointing or appointing?
Your images are mindblowing!! They are all so unique, I don't know where to begin or end with words in decribing your mastery with fractals.
Great flame with overwhelming depth illusion. Keep them coming, I really like them ;-)
Gary, This is really an unusual flame, (and I mean that in a good way, always). To me flames are unusual to start with, but some are so spectacular and different they are beyond the 'norm' for flames! This is one of them! I love it, love the different depth, the texture, it rocks! Leanndra
Very lovely flame..........looks like you can just reach out and touch it!!!
This has an incredible texture effect that pulls you inside in so many wonderful directions! Fantastic Flame work! (=
So very awesome!!!
