Which way to turn?
How near is far?
Will I somehow fade
These aching scars?
So long it seems
To reach my dreams,
And still, I wonder...
Is it the end?
Free at last?
Will this be
My final chance?
This tale of mine,
As old as time,
And still, I wonder...
To feel the sun
Shine on my face,
Oh what I'd do
To reach that place.
So far away,
No time today,
And still, I wonder...
I've seen so much
In my few years.
Once laughing eyes
Now shedding tears.
They fall like rain,
Extract my pain,
And still, I wonder...
Life is hard,
But I trudge on
Until that day
Finally comes.
I'll see the sun,
Won't need to run,
But for now, I wonder...
